EUSAiR

The main goal of EUSAiR is to support the implementation of AI regulatory sandboxes across the EU as mandated by the AI Act. EUSAiR will provide a standardized framework for sandboxes, strengthen technical and legal capacities, foster cooperation among Member States, and ensure broad access for AI innovators, particularly SMEs and startups. The framework should aim to reduce compliance costs and market barriers, helping AI developers participating in sandboxes navigate regulations while accelerating market entry.

To achieve this, EUSAiR will coordinate sandbox implementation by supporting national authorities, developing guidelines, and analyzing results to provide feedback to inform regulators on real-life implementation of the AI Act. It will engage key stakeholders, collaborate with existing European AI projects and initiatives, and conduct pilot tests within strategic European HPC infrastructures.
